Romerias in Tenerife
The “RomerĂas” are traditional festivities in Tenerife: Locals accompany a procession of the patron saint of the town, wearing the traditional dress, riding on decorated wagons pulled by oxes. There is also a lot of singing and dancing to music played by folk groups. The procession passes along the streets of the town always attracting a large number of people. Traditional food also plays an important role in these celebrations, which the local people are proud to share with all visitors.
