TUI Environmental Champion 2016: Tigaiga awarded!

For more than 20 years, TUI, Germany’s leading tour operator, rewards hotels for their high environmental and social standard with the ‘TUI Umwelt Champion.

For more than 20 years, Tigaiga has been awarded !

Hotels need to have a valid sustainability certification, which reflects the environmental and social performance and is recognized by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), like e.g. Travelife, Earthcheck or Green Globe. Secondly the hotels need to achieve an average guest satisfaction value of 8 out of 10 for the environmental question ‘How do you rate the hotels measures to preserve the environment’. The ‘TUI Umwelt Champion’ offers customers an orientation when booking a holiday as these hotels are specially pointed out in brochures and at www.tui.com.
