More solar energy

In May 2023, we will install a new network of photovoltaic panels on the roof of Salon Teide, Hotel Tigaiga. The structure of 70 modules has the capacity to generate 35 kWp and will cover part of the energy needs of our company. The aim of this investment is to improve energy dependency and again to make a contribution to reducing the CO2 footprint.

Our company has always been committed to the environment, which is why this solar energy project is part of the company philosophy. Our hotel’s environmental certifications, such as ISO 14001 and EMAS, underline the work that the Tigaiga has done in this regard.

These new photovoltaic solar panels will be placed on the roof, on 160 m2. The study and installation of the system was carried out by the company Dobontech, based in Tenerife, which works on the same guidelines as our hotel in terms of environmental commitment.
