Again the Loro Parque family has a new members. Two otters from the german Landauer Zoo have recently moved to their new home in Tenerife. These small mammals are now part of the large animal family of the Loro Parque and enrich the biodiversity of the park.
Finally: As counterpart to the “Parque de la Sortija” from Taoro Park today the area heading North (towards the center of Puerto de la Cruz, known as Atalaya gardens) were officially re-opened! The executive committee of the Convenio de Regeneración del Espacio Turístico has approved the drafting of the Northern coastal path, expected to be undertaken in 2010. It was the idea of the late Enrique Talg, founder of the Hotel Tigaiga in Puerto de la Cruz, as part of a Cabildo landscape initiative.
