NEW: our Interactive Tigaiga Plants Catalog!

la fotoFascination of Plants Day 18th May 2012: The Hotel Tigaiga joins this initiative by sharing a vanguard project with new technologies: An Interactive Catalogue of free access to explore the 200 species of subtropical plants, which the hotel has over 7000 m2 of gardens.

This Interactive Catalog is published on garden.tigaiga.com: The plant guide can be viewed from any modern computer and device.

The development has been carried out by is-real.net.

This Catalogue of Plants, is very innovative in the tools used. In Spain there is no other hotel that has used the www to show such a specialized and comprehensive information, particularly to present this case all the plants in the garden. This equates the Tigaiga with the pioneering vision of hotels like the Plaza and the Royalton in NYC, who have opted to use the iPad to give an extra service to their customers.

The desired information can be obtained by selecting different criteria: flower color, plant family, with a map location in the garden, its ornamental value, the origin of plants or the numbers you will find when you are walking around the Tigaiga gardens.

In 2009 the Tigaiga celebrated its first 50 years, so that there are plant species of “different ages”. The garden has been enriched over the years: a corner devoted to cacti and succulents, the hotel boasts to have more palm trees in their gardens than rooms does the hotel, with over 30 different varieties. There are several places to retire and enjoy the views of the colorful garden, the lawn with the ocean on the horizon.

The flora of our garden is not only endemic, as the visitor looks, especially in the winter months for contrasting colours with nuances of their winter home countries.

We look forward to your visit in situ, but meanwhile, enjoy the online page.
