Preparing for the “Fascination of Plants Day”

The first international “Fascination of Plants Day” will be held on May 18th (*). In the hotel Tigaiga we are preparing for the occasion and today we planted a “Eugenia unifoliolate” tree and a “Trachycarpus fortunei” palm to increase the number of plant species in our gardens. Butterflies and caterpillars of the Canary Islands

Just discovered a very interesting link  http://www.schmetterling-raupe.de/kanaren.htm Worth a visit is the butterfly park Mariposario del Drago (www.mariposario.com) in Icod de los Vinos; only 28km from the Tigaiga. You can see the butterfly’s resting on the leaves of the tropical plants.  Sometimes they even rest on you!
